Yeeeaaahhh, original title as always >_> plus I don't feel very well today, so quality is not great. Anyway, I'm going to explain the exact meaning of this "silent" comic.Possible SPOILER over here!
First of all, the little boy is supposed to be a younger version of Nero. He's a model I retextured some time ago (if you're interested you can find him in my gallery, DMC4 models folder) and he never appeared in the original game. I wanted to do something manga-like, where the main character dreams about an empty, black space where he finds something or someone to follow.
So, Nero suddenly finds his younger self in his dream, who then runs off without saying a word. Nero starts to chase him, when a misterious guy appears from the dark and the little boy stops right in front of him with a caring attitude.
As you can see, the guy is Vergil. Why? Because it's rumored that Dante's twin brother is Nero's father... at least this is what the novels mentioned and what I also believe.
Many people complain about this, saying that it's not possible and whatnot, but I actually think it might be truly possible and it would also explain why Nero is a demon as well and why he so looks like the Sparda brothers (white hair, blue eyes, demonic powers).
Plus, don't you think it's quite weird that Dante never asked who Nero is? I mean, he was supposed to be the only white haired man left into the whole world, then suddenly that 'kid' appeared. The novels mention that he actually doesn't really care to know who he is, but I think he could even have a little suspect. Am I the only one who had the impression that Dante wanted to take care of him? Maybe not directly, but he somehow did it until the end.
Also, Dante triggered when Nero punched him in the face furiously and the novels also say that he usually has such a strong reaction only in front of someone with his own blood.
And then there is Yamato, the sword. Every DMC fan knows that it belonged to Vergil and Nero had the power to restore it with no difficulty. Dante wanted to have that sword back, but decided that Nero could keep it.
There is also that misterious scene at the end of mission 5, when Nero falls into the darkness and remembers Kyrie's voice calling his name desperately. I was so damn confused... but it looks like that memory was about the day when his arm changed, where Nero also met Vergil in a dream or something.
So, this comic is based on these rumors. Still not really confirmed, I know... but I'm sure they are true, since CAPCOM didn't even deny that.Models used:
